Foodwaste Pick-up Service Information

Commercial Organics Recycling: How Does It Work?

Our Pick-Up Service for organics recycling was developed to serve those businesses having recognized the value being lost to the waste stream as well as the practical barriers currently built into the waste management system.

In its simplest terms, organics recycling necessitates collection, transportation and processing.  If your business is neither equipped nor interested in the hauling and/or processing of these materials, we are the professionals who can manage the job for you.

Collection begins with the client and the staff members who are generally responsible for handling waste material.  Learning to distinguish which material is valuable and which is ‘contamination’ is critical.  This step is known as source-separating.

Soilutions, Inc. leases containers for secondary collection.  Rugged, wheeled 64 gallon carts will be sited according to client concerns and needs.  Initially the number of carts issued is understood to be variable until a consistent volume and pick-up schedule has been established.

Through utilization of our 16’ box truck and lift-gate, transportation conflicts are limited.  Whether access is curb-side or commercial loading dock, collection container exchange will be efficiently executed by Soilutions, Inc. staff.

Collection container exchanges are recorded on a ‘verification’ sheet which may be initialed by client staff.  Copies are available upon request.  Billing is monthly (net 30).

Composting is the process used to recover value from the collected material.  This low-tech, naturally engineered cycle is achieved through the use of static piles and the efficient use of water.  End products include nutrient rich organic material, heat, moisture and short-term CO2 .

Why Should My Business Compost?

If your business handles a relatively large percentage of organic material you will save money recycling your organic waste.  The savings will result from the significance of the reduction in the current ‘trash’ bill.

Furthermore, doing the ‘right’ thing has an ever increasing value in the marketplace.

As evidence mounts, governing bodies and consumers will demand goods and services that include a lower environmental cost.  In turn, businesses that can illustrate their positive impact on their community and the environment at large are sure to avoid penalties while simultaneously receiving a premium for their wares.

Soilutions, Inc. will maintain data and provide content that can be used in promotions that add value to your brand.

We’ve are well established with a proven track record, recognized throughout central New Mexico as a provider of products and services of the highest quality.
